About Us
The Underwater Robotics Team at the University of Washington (UWROV) is an undergraduate registered student organization focused on designing, building, marketing, and competing with underwater remotely operated vehicles (ROVs). Each academic year, our team constructs an ROV for the MATE Competition, simulating environmental and oceanographic tasks done by ROVs in the real world.
One of our club objectives is to give undergraduate students an opportunity to learn about robotics, engineering skills, and ocean sciences. Many of our members, past and present, do not have backgrounds in engineering. Through UWROV, they are able to apply their interests to the club whilst learning about underwater robotics.
Another objective of our club is to share information about ROVs and ROV technology to the community. Whether it be within the University of Washington or throughout the Seattle area, we are always looking for new ways to work with others and share our passion for ROVs!
Please contact us if you have any questions, or if you want to reach out to us!
-Sincerely,
The UWROV Team
