Admare Information

Latin for "to the sea"

Admare was built for the 2015 MATE International Competition hosted in St. Johns, Newfoundland. In North America's oldest city, Admare competed in the Flume Tank at the Marine Institute of Memorial University, as well as the Ice Tank and Offshore Engineering Basin operated by Canada's National Research Council. Admare placed 13th out of 31 Explorer-class teams, ranking higher than Purdue, Cal Poly and The Ohio State University, as well as ranking higher than teams from Norway, Egypt, India, Mexico and Canada. Admare was decommissioned in 2016 and was replaced by the ligher and smaller Manta.
